Our upcoming group-trip to France, Spain and Portugal will be an outstanding experience of faith, prayer, culture and community. Actually, it will be a tremendous experience of Church! All 42 of us will enjoy the sights and sounds of Catholic Europe, which will inspire us, as we join with people from all over the world on pilgrimage to the holy sites of Fatima, Santiago, and Lourdes. Every language under the sun will be represented!

Matthew 25 Backpack Drive

This weekend, August 13-14th, we will have our Annual Backpack Drive.

The backpacks & school supplies help many underprivileged & visually impaired children in our community. Some of the items we need are listed below. Donations can be any of the listed items, or a monetary donation. Thank you for your continued support & generosity! God Bless!

Masses for the Solemnity of the Assumption

Next Monday, August 15th, is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Although, according to the bishops of the United States, it is back-to-back with a Sunday and, therefore, not a day of obligation this year, we have a Mass schedule for those who wish to join us in commemorating this solemn occasion.

Join us, if you are able, on Monday August 15th at 7:00am, 8:30am, 5:30pm and 7:00pm (in Spanish). All are welcome.

RICA – Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

Are you or someone you know interested in joining the Catholic Church? Are you curious about the Catholic Faith, but not sure you want to make a commitment? Are you married to a Catholic spouse, raising your children Catholic, and interested in knowing more to be able to share with them? Are you a Catholic who desires to complete the initiation process by receiving Eucharist and Confirmation?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we warmly invite you to give serious consideration of entering into the RCIA process.

The RCIA is designed to assist adults who have never been baptized and wish to be baptized in the Catholic Church, or who have been baptized in another Christian Religion and wish to become Catholic, or who were baptized Catholic but have not received First Eucharist and Confirmation.

The RCIA process begins September 11, 2022 and meets weekly through the month of May. Weekly sessions consist of a presentation on a topic of Catholic Teaching, scripture reflection and faith sharing.

RICA – Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos

¿Eres Mayor de 18 años y te faltan Sacramentos? (Bautizo, Comunión o Confirmación).

El programa de la RICA, es un proceso comunitario para la incisión formal de nuevos miembros en la Iglesia Católica y también para todo católico bautizado que no ha recibido todos los Sacramentos de iniciación, sea el Sacramento de Bautizo, Comunión o la Confirmación. Las reuniones comenzarán el 28 de Septiembre y serán a las 6 de la tarde en el Garden Room. Healing Mass

Saint Gregory will soon return to offering quarterly Healing Masses for those needing to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.

This opportunity is designed to bring spiritual support, comfort, and reassurance in Christ, as we turn to the Lord asking for physical and spiritual healing. Those who have noncontagious serious illnesses and health conditions, those who are approaching surgery or recovering from surgery, and those who are burdened with the weight of years, are especially invited to come and publicly receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick on these scheduled occasions. Other cases can be handled with special planning and care.

The next Healing Mass at Saint Gregory is scheduled for Tuesday, August 23rd, at 7:00pm in church.

All are welcome to come and pray for divine healing and strength.

Eucharistic Adoration

Every Thursday | 4:00pm to 9:00pm

The Last Supper of our Lord was on a Thursday. In honor of this major event in the life of Jesus and His Church, the parish of Saint Gregory the Great offers weekly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 4:00pm to 9:00pm every Thursday, concluding with a solemn benediction ceremony at 8:50pm.

Many have been partaking of this blessed opportunity. All are encouraged to receive the grace which comes from spending time with our Eucharistic Lord. All are welcome on Thursdays to pray and adore.

Book of Exodus - Bible Class Catholic Scripture Studies

Saint Gregory’s Bible Class group invites all parishioners to participate in this year’s Bible classes: The Book of Exodus (Catholic Scripture Studies Program- St. Benedict Press). The 29-week course will start the second week of September.

    - Starting on Tuesday, September 13th.
  • Where: Garden Room.
  • Material Cost: $65 (Catholic Scripture Study
    – Book of Exodus).

What About the Kids?

Catholic Disciples in the Public Square Presents “What About the Kids?” The film is produced by Jim Wahlberg of Wahl St. Productions. It is a story of addiction and recovery. Jim Wahlberg will be on hand for questions and his book for sale, “The Big Hustle.”
