Statement of Bishop Douglas J. Lucia of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse on the death of Pope Francis:
As tears sting my eyes, I join the Catholic Church throughout the world mourning the death of our beloved Pope Francis, the 266th Successor of St. Peter, whose true giftedness to the Church of the 21st century will only be seen as we grow in synodality. Along with Bishop Robert J. Cunningham, our Bishop-emeritus, I offer our Diocesan Church’s condolences and deepest sympathies to the Bergoglio Family, to his Jesuit confreres, and to his collaborators in his service to the Universal Church. In the early hours of Easter Monday, in the midst of the Easter Octave, Pope Francis went like the holy women from the empty tomb of Christ – “And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them” (Mt. 28:9).

First Fridays with Father Joe!
Father Hage, our pastor, has invited Father Joe Salerno,
our pastor emeritus, to celebrate First Friday Masses in
the Seton Center Chapel at 8:15am.
Following Mass, the
group will move to the newly renovated DePaul room for
a light breakfast where Father Joe will deliver a brief retreat
talk for participants. All are welcome!
Blessing of The Bikes!
Save-the-date for our parish’s first annual Blessing of the Bikes!
Our priests will be offering a special blessing of over motorcyclists on Saturday, April 26th at 2:30pm in the Lourdes parking lot.
Kick-off motorcycle season right with this blessing that offers protection and safety. All are welcome
Honoring Father Joe
Father Joe Honored for 25 Years of Service to UPD and UFD
Father Joseph Salerno will be honored for his 25 years of service as the Chaplain to the Utica Fire and Police Departments on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00am, during the worship service at the Utica International Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 1134 Herkimer Road, Utica, NY.
The Fire and Police Departments will be honored at well. All are welcome!
Food Collection
Our monthly collection of food for the Thea Bowman Center will take place the weekend of May 3rd and 4th.
All food items may be left in the back of church for pick up and delivery to Thea Bowman. Thanks as always for the generous support to this very important need within our community.
