Solemnity of Mary, The Holy Mother of God

Holy Day of Obligation — January 1st

Begin 2026 in the strongest and most grace-filled way by consecrating the new year to Jesus through Mary. On this Holy Day of Obligation, the Church invites us to place our lives, our families, and our hopes under the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who always leads us to Jesus, the One who is Lord, Savior, and source of all blessing. Entrusting the year to Jesus through Mary opens our hearts to deeper peace, protection, and spiritual renewal. There is no more powerful way to start the year.

Holy Day Mass Schedule:

  • Vigil Mass: Wednesday, December 31st — 4:00pm at Lourdes
  • Holy Day Mass: Thursday, January 1st — 10:30am at Lourdes

Come begin the year with grace consecrate 2026 to Jesus through Mary.

All are invited to join us for the annual “Men in Black” Basketball Game, where our Diocesan priests and seminarians will take on students from Bishop Ludden Grimes Junior/Senior High School in a fun, family-friendly evening of sportsmanship, joy, and witness.

This beloved event gives our young people the chance to meet priests and seminarians in a relaxed, energetic setting and to see firsthand the joy and humanity of those who serve the Church in priestly ministry.
