---La Esposa de San Isidro ha Llegado | San Isidro’s Wife has Arrived!

El Domingo 3 de Octubre, la comunidad
parroquial presenció la inauguración de un
conjunto de nuevas estatuas de San Isidro y su
esposa Santa María de la Cabeza.
Estas estatuas fueron encargadas en Guatemala
y traídas en avión a nuestra parroquia. P.
Wilfredo bendijo las estatuas y mencionó a la
comunidad que con la llegada de Santa María de
la Cabeza, y con la presencia de la Sagrada
Familia en el otro extremo del altar, el mensaje
de matrimonio y familia ahora es claro. El padre
siempre ha sido un apasionado del matrimonio
y la familia. El Cuerpo de Color de los Caballeros
de Colón de nuestra parroquia estuvo presente
para honrar la inauguración de las estatuas.
On Sunday, October 3rd, the parish community
witnessed the unveiling of a set of new statues
of San Isidro and his wife Santa Maria de la
Cabeza.
These statues were commissioned in
Guatemala and brought by plane to our
parish. Fr. Wilfredo blessed the statues and
mentioned to the community that with the
arrival of Santa Maria de la Cabeza, and with
the presence of the Holy Family on the other
end of the altar, the message of marriage and
family is now clear. Father has always been
passionate about marriage and the family. Our
parish Knights of Columbus Color Corps were
present to honor the unveiling of the statues.

---La Cena de Gala de los Caballeros fue un Exito | Knights of Columbus Dinner Gala Fundraiser was a Success
|
El viernes 15 de octubre, el Consejo 16980 de
Caballeros de Colón organizó su primera Cena
de Gala desde el cierre debido a la pandemia.
El evento contó con una cena patrocinada por
Salt and Pepper Restaurant, música, baile,
una máquina que tomaba fotografias y rifas.
El evento fue un éxito.
Como se vendieron todos los boletos. Los
fondos se utilizarán para cubrir los diversos
eventos y actividades que realizan los
Caballeros. Agradecemos a todos los
hermanos Caballeros que hicieron que este
evento fuera tan exitoso, así como a la familia
Centeno, a los propietarios del restaurante
Salt and Pepper y a los feligreses.
On Friday, October 15th, The Knights of
Columbus Council 16980 hosted it’s first
dinner gala since the pandemic lockdown. The
event featured a dinner sponsored by Salt and
Pepper Restaurant, music, dancing, a machine
that took pictures, and raffles. The event was
a success.
As every ticket were sold. The funds will be
used to cover the various events and activities
that the Knights do. We thank all the brother
Knights that made this event so successful as
well as the Centeno family, owners of Salt and
Pepper restaurant, and fellow parishioners.

El Consejo 16980 de San Isidro
escogió a la familia del mes de
octubre y el honor fue para
Rubén Cardona y su familia. La
familia Cardona fue premiada
por su destacado compromiso
con San Isidro.
Rubén es un
compañero de los Caballeros
de 4º Grado y un hermano de
Emaus. Su esposa Keylin es una
ujier. Su hijo Edwin es
monaguillo y asiste al ministerio juvenil Lifeteen
junto con su hermano Stephen. Felicitamos a la
familia Cardona.
The San Isidro Council 16980 hosted
the family of the month for October
and the honor went to Ruben
Cardona and his family. The Cardona
family was awarded because of their
outstanding involvement with San
Isidro.
Ruben is a fellow 4th Degree
Knight and an Emaus brother. His
wife Keylin is an usher. Their son
Edwin is an altar server and attends
Lifeteen youth ministry along with his brother
Stephen. We congratulate the Cardona family.

---San Isidro Celebra Ceremonia de Caballeros de 4to Grado | San Isidro hosts 4th Degree Knight Exemplification Ceremondy
|
La Iglesia de San Isidro fue elegida a nivel estatal para ser
anfitriones de una Ceremonia de 4to grado de los Caballeros e
Colon, el sábado 9 de octubre. Hubo unos 25 hombres presentes
para la ceremonia con unos 150 sintonizados a través de Zoom.
Seis de nuestros hermanos del
Consejo 16980 fueron iniciados
en el 4º grado patriótico y ahora
son elegibles para servir en el
Cuerpo de Color de nuestra
parroquia.
El Padre Wilfredo Contreras fue
honrado con la estatua del
Águila entregada en la
ceremonia del 4to Grado por su
destacada dedicación y servicio a
la causa de Caballeros de Colón.
Hasta la fecha, tenemos cerca de
30 hombres en el 4º grado, de
los cuales 14 están en la Corporación de Color. Los Caballeros de
la Corporación de Color visten el distinguido uniforme y
participan en todas las liturgias y eventos importantes.
Felicitamos a nuestros nuevos Caballeros de 4to Grado: Luis
Alvarado, Daniel Jaen, Nelson Yepez, Orlando Luna, Ángel Pagan
and Eli Ferrer.
San Isidro Church was chosen on the state level to
host a 4th degree Ceremony of the Knights of
Columbus on Saturday, October 9th. There were
about 25 men present for the ceremony with about
150 tuning in via Zoom. Six
of our brothers from Council
16980 were initiated into
the patriotic 4th degree and
now are eligible to serve in
the Color Corps of our
parish.
Father Wilfredo Contreras
was honored with the Eagle
statue given in the 4th
Degree ceremony for his
outstanding dedication and
service to the cause of the
Knights of Columbus.
To date we have close to 30
men in the 4th degree of which 14 are in the Color
Corp. Color Corp Knights wear the distinguished
uniform and participate in all major liturgies and
events. We congratulate our new 4th Degree
Knights: Luis Alvarado, Daniel Jaen, Nelson Yepez,
Orlando Luna, Angel Pagan, and Eli Ferrer.
