Synod 2021 - 2023

Recently, Pope Francis announced that there would be a worldwide synod exploring ways in which the universal church can improve its ability to listen to the faithful. The theme for the synod is, “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission.”

The Holy Spirit continues to guide the church as he has guided her in the upper room at Pentecost. Pope Francis reminds us that we must continue to reflect on our life and mission so to better impact the world and increase our ability to encounter Christ. Your participation and input are a necessary and vital piece to this process. We will be announcing the date(s) of our own parish consultive sessions soon.

Homeless Ministry News

Thanks to all of our donors and volunteers. You have been extremely generous throughout the year.

Every year we give out a number of gift bags to the homeless men, women and children, and some of the staff at the Miami Rescue Mission on our December outing. The gift bags contain a pair of sweatpants, t shirt, underwear, socks, a blanket and a few travel size toiletries.

After all masses on the weekends of October 23, 24 and 30, 31 2021 we will be handing out “Angel” request slips for items to be returned to church to be included in the gift bags. We are requesting these items in October so that we have sufficient time to purchase the remaining needed items in time for our December outing.

Please take one or more of these “Angel” request slips and return the items to church to before mass on November 6, 7 and 13, 14, 2021.

Thank You and may God Bless You for your kindness to our homeless brethren. God Bless You
